This Porsche 991 was brought to us for detailing.
The first job was to apply Auto Finesse’s Iron Out to the wheels and this was left to stand for about 10 minutes. Iron Out is designed to dissolve brake dust and other contaminates such as fallout. With colour changing properties, once the Iron Out had turned purple, the product was rinsed off.
A general purpose cleaner was then applied to the arches and door shuts. After agitating the chemical on the wheels they were pressure washed off, also the arches and door shuts.
Next the whole of the exterior was clayed including the glass. After washing off and drying the car was taken into our detailing studio. The paintwork was inspected prior to masking up in preparation for the machining it required. Starting with a medium compound and pad the the first few passes were closely inspected. After satisfying ourselves the we had chosen the correct combination the rest of the car was machined. Next we cleansed the paintwork before applying a good quality paint sealant.
After this, the interior was given a good hoovering (to be fair it wasn’t too bad). The drivers seat and centre armrest had sustained some wear damage (see photo’s) so we repaired this with a leather feed paint. The result was fantastic, it all blended in without any overlap. The rest of the interior was also treated to a good quality leather feed. While inside the car, the interior glass was cleaned.
Next was under the bonnet, again a good hoovering was all that was required, followed by the exterior glass. The car was then taken back to our wash bay and rewashed to remove any polish and dust from the shuts and other areas from the original machining. A final polish, Job done.
The final results.
