Rover MG ZS - Full Correction & Interior Detail

When we first saw this car it was quite badly scratched on the roof, bonnet, tailgate, spoiler and parts of the wings.

Our first job was to wash the wheels, we applied a non caustic wheel cleaner that was agitated with our EZ detailing wheel brush as we needed to get inside the wheels. After this we rinsed the car and applied some Snow Foam cleaner which was allowed to dwell for a while before rinsing it off. Next we washed the paintwork, useing the 2 bucket system. his was then rinsed off again. We also clayed all of the paintwork and windows before drying off.

Tha car was then taken into our workshops and masked up. We then took paint depth readings (you never know the thickness of paint available to work with) as we knew there was going to be a lot of Wet Flatting involved.

We spent approximately 2 hours on the bonnet, 2 hours on the roof, 2 hours on the tailgate and spoiler and 2 hours on each wing. Surprisingly the doors were almost perfect.

After all the wet stuff was finished we started with the machine. We decided on Meguiars Diamond Cut and a medium pad to get through all the wet flatting. This we found to be very successfull. Next we applied some Four Star Light Cut Compound and a fine pad to bring the shine back. This process took about 10 hours machining.

The masking was removed and the car taken back outside and re- washed to remove any bits left behind from the machining process. After drying it was taken back inside and the paintwork was applied with EZ Clean (Chemical Guys). This was machine polished off prior to applying some Sonus SFX4 Sealant.

We then turned our attention to the interior, which apart from the leather seats was in reasonable fettle. After a good hoover we gently heated the leather seats whilst applying some Sonus Leather Cleaner, after the seats were cleaned we applied Sonus Leather Conditioner. The seats looked fantastic, very well fed and clean.

After fitting a pair of new number plates we took the car back outside for a final inspection.

It looked great, as the photo's show - Great job - Next one please.
